Celebrating the symbols of Britannia and Liberty together on a coin. Marking a groundbreaking collaboration between the Chief Engravers of The Royal Mint and the United States Mint. Meticulously crafted to ensure that both figures hold equal prominence.

The obverse of this groundbreaking medal was collaboratively designed by the Chief Engravers of the United States Mint, Joseph Menna, and The Royal Mint, Gordon Summers. This marks the first time that Chief Engravers from two of the largest mints in the world have worked together on a design.

The reverse: The sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean, framed by two shores with a Great Basin Bristlecone Pine tree in the west and an English Yew tree in the east, representing both nations and heralding new possibilities for their mutual friendship now and going forward. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “LIBERTY AND BRITANNIA.”
